Chelsea's poor run of form continued on Tuesday night as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues took the lead on the night through Cole Palmer, who finished calmly after being played through on goal by Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese striker, however, then wasted multiple chances to increase Chelsea's lead, first firing over Noni Madueke's cut-back and then heading the ball directly at Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers from close range.
Enzo Maresca's side were made to pay for those missed chances just five minutes into the second half when Justin Kluivert levelled from the penalty spot after Moises Caicedo brought down Antoine Semenyo in the box.
Semenyo himself then scored the away side's second shortly after, firing an unstoppable shot past Robert Sanchez from barely six-yards out. Heading into eight minutes of added time, Bournemouth looked set to leave the Bridge with all three points, but Chelsea captain Reece James, who had come on as a second-half substitute, rescued a draw for the home side late on when he converted a free-kick from the edge of the area.
The draw means Chelsea are now without a win in five in the Premier League, having previously lost to both Fulham and Ipswich Town and drawn with Everton and Crystal Palace.
Here are Everything Chelsea's player ratings from the draw with the Cherries.
Chelsea Player Ratings vs. Bournemouth
GK: Robert Sanchez (6/10)
Could do nothing for either goal. Gave the ball away while trying to play out in the second half, something which has happened far too often this season.
RB: Moises Caicedo (6/10)
Not his finest day. Gave the penalty away for Bournemouth's leveller.
CB: Josh Acheampong (6/10)
Distributed the ball forward very well, but was at fault for Semenyo's goal, letting him too easily create a scoring opportunity close to goal.
CB: Levi Colwill (7/10)
A good return to form after what has been a tough few months for the Englishman. Made the most defensive actions for Chelsea with nine.
LB: Marc Cucurella (6/10)
Lively going forward, but looked susceptible in defence.
CM: Romeo Lavia (5/10)
Was miles off the pace after a few weeks on the sidelines. Gave away the ball cheaply in the build up to Bournemouth's penalty.
CM: Enzo Fernandez (7/10)
Showed some nice touches in the final third and was always available to receive the ball. Came close to scoring before the break.
RM: Noni Madueke (5/10)
Quiet. Caused little to no threat down the right flank.
AM: Cole Palmer (7/10)
On the scoresheet again with what was a cheeky finish. Lively in the first half, but went missing a little in the second.
LM: Jadon Sancho (6/10)
Dangerous in the first half, but, like Palmer, faded in the second. Showed a great piece of skill to beat two Bournemouth players early on.
ST: Nicolas Jackson (7/10)
Chelsea's biggest threat throughout. Carried the ball brilliantly and his assist for Palmer's goal was quite superb. Missed multiple chances to put the game to bed at 1-0, however.
SUB: Reece James (7/10)
Scored the equaliser. Good to get minutes under his belt.
SUB: Tosin Adarabioyo (8/10)
Made an excellent block to deny Kluivert what would have been a third Bournemouth goal late on and almost scored himself.
SUB: Joao Felix (7/10)
Provided the threat Palmer had failed to in the second half. Silky as always.
