Henrique Hilario has resigned from Chelsea after 16 years at the club to become England's new goalkeeping coach, according to The Telegraph.
The move sees Hilario reunite with former Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, who was appointed England manager last month.
The pair worked together during Tuchel's Champions League winning tenure at Stamford Bridge between January 2021 and September 2022.
The Telegraph report that Hilario wanted to stay at Chelsea alongside working with England, but the Blues didn't want him to job share.
His resignation hasn't been publicly announced by the club, but The Telegraph has been told that it is official.
Hilario joins assistant Anthony Barry and James Melbourne, Chelsea's former head of performance analysis, on Tuchel's backroom staff, with the German officially set to start work as England boss after the New Year.
Hilario, 49, first joined Chelsea as a player in 2006.
He went on to make just 39 appearances for the Blues over eight seasons before retiring in 2014.
Two years later, the former Portugal international returned to the club as an assistant goalkeeping coach under Antonio Conte. In 2018, he was then promoted to position of goalkeeping coach by Maurizio Sarri.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are unlikely to replace Hilario, given manager Enzo Maresca already has both goalkeeping coach Michele De Bernardin and assistant Willy Caballero, a former Blues goalkeeper himself, on his staff.
