Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has appeared to respond to critics of his recent performances by way of a series of cryptic Instagram stories.
Madueke, 22, has been a regular feature in Enzo Maresca's side this season, starting all but one of the Blues' 11 Premier League games.
Since netting a hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in late August, however, he's managed just one goal and no assists in his last nine starts, resulting in widespread criticism from fans and pundits alike.
Following Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, which again saw Madueke slammed by supporters for his performance, the England international took to social media to vent.
"It gets tough sometimes... You'll be ite," he wrote in an Instagram story.
In a second story, Madueke then shared a screenshot of a message from God which read: "Don't worry. Trust my timing."
This isn't the first time Madueke has taken to social media to respond to his critics in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, a TikTok user by the name of Yusuf posted a video in which he called the former PSV Eindhoven winger a "fraud."
"Ever since that hat-trick against Wolves, please tell me one thing he’s done since then," Yusuf said of Madueke in the video, which has been viewed over 840,000 times.
"Last week he got a pocketed by Lewis Hall, this week by Mazraoui who is not even a left-back. What is this? I think this is all because this guy’s getting too comfortable being a starter," he added. "This guy needs to touch the bench.”
Madueke himself was one of those to view the video, and left a comment.
“Broo next time you want a picture speak up a bit don’t be shy,” Madueke wrote, seemingly referring to a separate TikTok in which Yusuf claimed the Chelsea player refused to take a photo with him after a match.
