Cole Palmer is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Chelsea superstar has developed a reputation for giving amusing post-match interviews lately, and during a recent appearance on Amazon Prime Video's "What's In The Box?" YouTube series, he again had fans in stitches with a hilarious admission about his time at school.

During the video, Palmer was tasked with guessing what items were in Amazon boxes by using only his hands to feel them.

After correctly guessing that one item was a pencil case, the 22-year-old was questioned about his time at school.

"Were there any particular teachers or subjects that really spoke to you when you were a kid at school?" he was asked.

Palmer replied: "No. None. Nah, not that I can remember. No offence to the teachers but not really."

When someone off-camera then mentioned that he "surely" must have liked physical education, Palmer confessed: "I failed PE."

Asked if it was the writing side of the subject that he had failed, he added: "Everything. I don't know how."

Unsurprisingly, Palmer's admission gave more than a few viewers a giggle.

"I'm crying," wrote one fan under the video, while another said: "How can you not like this guy? So unintentionally funny."

A third person wrote: "This guy is so unreal. He just doesn't care."

While Palmer's performance at school may have been lacklustre, his displays for Chelsea have been anything but.

Since joining the Blues from Manchester City last summer, the England international has scored 33 goals and registered 21 assists in just 60 games for the West London club.

His most recent goal in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend saw him become the second-fastest player in the club's history to score 30 Premier League goals, behind only Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
