FC Barcelona have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Aston Villa's Jhon Duran, according to AS in Colombia.
The publication reported on Monday that Barcelona recently contacted Villa to ask how much it would cost to sign the 20-year-old, with the Catalan club keen to make a move as soon as January.
AS claim that Villa would demand "no less than" £75 million for the striker, though previous reports have suggested that figure could be upwards of £80 million.
Chelsea came close to signing Duran this summer.
According to reports from South America, the Blues had agreed a £42 million fee with Villa for the Colombia international, but that personal terms could not be agreed and the deal collapsed.
Though Duran has since put pen to paper on a new deal at Villa Park, Chelsea are understood to still be keen on the youngster, with Enzo Maresca looking to bolster his options up-front amid uncertainty over the future of Christopher Nkunku, who has been linked with a move back to his boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain.
According to AS, Arsenal are also keen on Duran, as are Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Duran is on fire this season
It's easy to see why a host of the world's biggest clubs are interested in signing Duran.
The Colombian, who joined Villa last year from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire, has been in red hot form this term, scoring seven goals in all competitions, averaging a strike every 58 minutes.
Two of those goals have come in the Champions League, a competition in which Villa boast a perfect record this season. Last month, Duran scored the only goal as Unai Emery's side recorded a historic 1-0 win over Bayern, before earlier this week, he again found the net in a 2-0 win over Bologna.
Speaking after the win over Bologna, Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans was full of praise for the striker.
"Duran has everything. He has technique, he can hold the ball and can flick on. He is an all-round striker," Tielemans told TNT Sports.
Tielemans also spoke on Duran's furious reaction to being substituted on the night.
Immediately after his goal, the youngster was replaced with Ollie Watkins by Emery and did not react well, punching and kicking a seat in the dugout before storming down the tunnel as staff tried to calm him down.
He did, however, re-emerge at the end of the match to join in with his teammates' celebrations.
"He is really funny," Tieleman's said of Duran's tantrum. "The manager does not care. He knows everyone wants to play."
"It is part of the game," he added.
